Mary Caraccioli is an Emmy Award-winning TV journalist, creator,
host and executive producer of “Money Matters Today” seen
nightly on CN8 The Comcast Network.
Mary offers viewers straightforward answers to their money questions.
She also serves as the network's director of business and consumer
news, heading up CN8's coverage of news from the financial industry
including exclusive economic reports and breaking industry news.
Mary’s beat has taken her to the boardrooms of some of America's
biggest companies and introduced her to some of the nation’s
most influential newsmakers including: Steve Forbes, John Bogle,
Charles Schwab, Jon Huntsman, Billie Jean King, Jeff Bezos, Vince
McMahon, Tipper Gore and Bill Gross to name a few. Mary was also
the first TV reporter to do live daily reports from the floor
of Philadelphia Stock Exchange.
Mary ‘s career has spanned through a period in which she
worked as the top female news manager at the Fox-owned-and-operated
station in Philadelphia, the nation's fourth-largest TV market.
She created the Emmy Award-winning "Good Day Philadelphia" morning
show and was senior executive producer for the "Fox Ten O'Clock
News." She arrived in the “City of Brotherly Love” at
WCAU-TV, a then CBS-owned-and-operated station in Philadelphia,
where she became the youngest person to be named a show producer.
Mary is also one of few TV journalists to spend time in Cuba.
There, she uncovered stories of economic inequities in the lucrative
cigar trade and Cuba's burgeoning tourism industry. She worked
with respected business broadcaster Lou Dobbs, launching the nationally
syndicated radio report the “Lou Dobbs/ Financial Report.” She
also served as a producer at CNBC's World Business.
Mary ‘s second love is tennis. She has worked with the United
States Tennis Association as a broadcast communications manager
at the prestigious U.S. Open Tennis Championships. She is a member
of Arthur Ashe Youth Tennis and Education Board of Directors where
she heads up the scholarship committee. She also has spent time
as a match commentator for World Team Tennis’ Philadelphia
Freedoms.
Mary is a candidate for a Master’s of Business Administration
Degree at Drexel University, as well as finishing her thesis for
a Master's degree in International Relations at the University
of Pennsylvania.
Mary is a sought after speaker. Her topics have included, leadership
development, women’s money issues, entrepreneurship and
saving tips for kids. Mary motivates her audience to take charge
of their own financial future.
She enjoys traveling, long-distance running, sports photography
and spoiling her 36 nieces and nephews. Mary and her husband have
one daughter
